Speading is built with a strict privacy-first philosophy. This application does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, user metrics, or reading analytics.

1. Data Storage & Privacy

All reading data, text inputs, and content generated within the app are stored exclusively in your device's secure local internal sandbox. This data is entirely isolated and is not accessible by the developer, third parties, or external cloud networks.

2. Device Permissions & Audio Recording

The app requests specific hardware permissions strictly to enable user-driven features:

• Microphone & Audio Recording: Speading offers an optional feature allowing you to record voice memos for reading summaries. When you use this tool, the app creates highly compressed audio files (.m4a) saved directly to your local device. We do not collect, capture, or transmit your voice recordings. Your audio notes stay completely offline and are deleted permanently if you remove the associated reading session or uninstall the app.
• Notifications: The app may ask for permission to send local notifications for reading reminders. These alerts are scheduled and triggered natively by your device’s operating system and do not use external messaging servers.

3. Internet Connectivity & Network Utility

Speading does not maintain a user account system or background data tracking streams. It uses internet connectivity strictly for the following system utilities:

• Version Verification: The app securely queries the public Google Play Store or Apple App Store API purely to verify if a newer version of the app is available for update. No identifying information or personal metrics are transmitted during this check.
• Typography Assets: The app dynamically requests visual font files via the standard Google Fonts distribution system upon initial configuration. Downloaded styles are cached locally.

4. Third-Party Links

If you explicitly use the application launchpad to review your text summaries using external artificial intelligence tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude), your web browser or respective app will open those independent platforms. Those interactions are subject exclusively to the privacy terms of those external service providers.

5. Data Deletion

Because you have absolute ownership of your data, you can completely erase all files, logs, and voice recordings at any moment. Simply wipe the app cache inside your device's system settings or uninstall the application from your phone.
